Woman baffled by enormous gas bill for vacant property

A woman who has been living overseas for a year has received a massive bill for gas use at her vacant property.

An inspector has been out to the vacant property and has confirmed there is no gas leak which explains the usage, but gas retailer, AGL, insists the reading is correct.

“There’s no chance anyone has used any gas,”  the home owner’s brother, Luke, who has been checking on the property, told Jacqui Felgate.
