Woman dead after suspected stabbing in Melbourne’s south-east

A woman has died in a suspected stabbing in Melbourne’s south-east this morning.

Emergency services were called to reports of a stabbing at the property on Kelvinside Road in Noble Park at about 2am.

A woman, who is yet to be formally identified, was found with life-threatening injuries.

She was taken to hospital but has sadly since died.

A man who was also at the property is currently assisting homicide squad detectives with their enquiries.

It’s believed both parties were known to each other.

The exact circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are still being established.
