Woman dies in level crossing crash near Colac

A woman has died following a collision between a car and a passenger train in Cressy, near Colac.

The crash occurred at a level crossing east of Nelsons Road on Friday afternoon.

The female driver, who died at the scene, is yet to be formally identified.

No other injuries have been reported at this stage.

Police are investigating the exact cause of the crash and are appealing for witnesses.
