Woman facing string of charges after police intercept car at Melton
A woman has been intercepted at Melton allegedly driving almost three times the speed limit, on a suspended learner permit and with a high blood alcohol reading.
Police said the 22-year-old Noble Park woman was pulled over on High Street around 6pm on Sunday night when she was detected travelling at 172 km/h.
The woman then happened to return similar digits in her preliminary breath test, which record .172 per cent.
She’s expected to be charged on summons for a range of offences.
The Holden Captiva she was driving has been impounded.
