Woman found dead, man arrested in Melbourne’s outer east

A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead at a home in Melbourne’s outer east.

The woman, who police said was aged in her 80s, was found at The Basin property shortly after 12.30pm on Wednesday.

A man, also aged in his 80s, was arrested at the scene.

The homicide squad is investigating.
