Woman hit by tram on Victoria Street

A woman has been taken to hospital with head injuries after she was hit by a tram at Richmond.

3AW Drive was alerted to the nasty incident on Wednesday.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed a woman in her 20s was struck by the tram on Victoria Street at 3.10pm.

She was taken to the Royal Melbourne hospital in a serious but stable condition.
