Woman inside Westfield Bondi Junction during attack shares harrowing account

A shopper inside Westfield Bondi Junction has given a harrowing account of the chaos which unfolded on Saturday afternoon.

40-year-old Joel Cauchi went on a stabbing spree through the shopping centre, killing six people.

Eimar, who forced to hide inside a Cotton On store while the chaos unfolded, described what she saw as the police gunned down the attacker.

“I was under a table (inside Cotton On) that was probably only 50cm high,” she told Jacqui Felgate.

“It just went so quiet…we were under that table for about 15 to 20 minutes. We did hear the gunshot (of the police officer shooting the offender) and that was almost a relief for me.”
