Woman killed after being hit by a car

A woman has been killed after she was struck by a car at Dandenong.

The tragic incident happened on Thursday.

Police said the woman, believed to be aged in her late 50s, was struck while crossing Stud Road about 1.05pm.

Emergency services attempted to revive the woman but she died at the scene.

The 24-year-old male driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police.
