A woman is on the run after targeting an 80-year-old woman in an aggravated carjacking and kidnapping at St Kilda.
The 80-year-old woman was getting into her car on St Kilda Road in St Kilda on the afternoon of July 6 when an unknown woman has got into the passenger seat of her car.
The woman put what’s believed to have been a large carving fork to her neck, pulled her hair and demanded money.
The offender then told the woman to drive her to the airport, but got to Carlisle Street and fled.
It’s been more than three weeks on and the offender remains on the run.
Senior Constable Rebecca MacInnes from the Port Phillip criminal investigation unit says the victim is “pretty traumatised” by the ordeal.
“It’s very serious offending,” she told Neil Mitchell.
