Woman shot dead in Melbourne’s west

A man is in custody following the fatal shooting of a woman in Sunshine.

Police are still going trough the home where a women was shot dead last night.

There is a pool of blood at the home’s front door.

Th suspect is believed to have dumped his vehicle before allegedly stealing another, possibly in a carjacking.

That vehicle was also involved in a crash.

Police later arrested a man who was known to the killed woman.

He remains in custody.
