Woman suffers multiple gun shot wounds after Glenroy shooting

It’s been revealed the victim of a shooting at Glenroy is the mother of Rodney Phillips.

Phillips has pleaded guilty to shooting a police officer and attacks aimed at the family of murdered gangland figure Carl Williams.

His mother is fighting for life in hospital after she sustained multiple gunshot wounds at her home on Hubert Avenue shortly before midnight on Thursday.

She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Her distressed husband and two sons arrived at the house about 7am the following morning.

It’s emerged she’s the mother of Phillips, who is due to be sentenced this month over the 2015 non-fatal shooting of a police officer at Essendon.
