A woman at home with her baby has been tied up during a terrifying aggravated burglary at Glenroy.

Police are investigating the incident, which happened on July 14.

They’ve been told a man knocked on the front door of a home on Maude Avenue around 8.55am.

A woman, home alone with her baby, opened the door and the man forced his way inside.

It is believed the man produced a knife and made demands for cash.

The woman went to her bedroom and handed the man $700.

But he didn’t stop there.

The attacker then used the woman’s headscarf to bind the victim’s arms and legs.

He told her to stay inside for 10 minutes as he fled, threatening to return if she didn’t follow his instructions.

He got away.

The man was wearing black leather jacket, blue jeans and dark balaclava at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
