“Wonderful and iconic” gift to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed

Governor of Victoria Linda Dessau has revealed the gift given to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on occassion of their maiden visit to the state.

Prince Harry and Meaghn Markle visited Melbourne for the first time on as a couple on Thursday as they continue their tour of Australia.

“It was a large, framed photograph of a painted cement silo from Geelong,” she said.

“They loved it – they thought it was really modern. To see street art used in that way throughout regional Victoria, it was something that we wanted to showcase to them.”

“I thought it was a wonderful and iconic Victorian gift.”
