Word on the Street: Brawl erupts outside Dandenong home

A brawl has erupted outside what’s believed to be a boarding house in a residential street in Dandenong.

Caller Mitchell said it was complete chaos and he estimated eight people were involved.

“There’s been a brawl outside a boarding house that 14 people live in,” he told Tom Elliott.

“It’s nuts, it’s not what you want to see in a residential street.”

Police say they are investigating the incident outside a Dawn Avenue home at about 3.30pm.

One of the men suffered non-life threatening stab wounds during the incident and is being treated at the scene.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed three people were being treated at the scene for injuries, with a man in his 20s remaining in a serious but stable condition.

The offenders fled the scene before police arrived.

The investigation is ongoing, although police believe all parties are known to each other.
