Word on the Street: Factory fire in Mordialloc

WORD ON THE STREET

A factory caught fire on Bond Street in Mordialloc on Wednesday afternoon.

The MFB and the CFA were both on the scene. The fire was brought under control about 7pm.

Around 50 firefighters were at the food processing factory.

A Watch and Act was issued advising the community to stay indoors, close their doors and windows, and turn off any heating and cooling systems.

The community was asked to avoid the area and keep the roads clear.
