Word on the Street: Man aged in his 20s taken to hospital after truck rolls

WORD ON THE STREET

A man aged in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a truck rolled onto its side on a work site in Montmorency.

Firefighters were called to assist at the scene on Para Road at 2.5opm to ensure there’s no diesel leak.

The man has been taken to the Austin Hospital.

It’s believed the driver was reversing the truck at the time when he lost control and the truck slipped down a trench and turned.

WorkSafe is also attending.

Word on the Street caller David alerted Tom Elliott to the incident earlier this afternoon, and said there were a number of emergency crews on site.
