A new gender equality campaign is encouraging people to re-think the words they use in the workplace.

Referring to a group of men and women with the term ‘guys’ has been red-flagged in the Diversity Council of Australia video, as well as the use of terms like ‘so gay.’

‘The idea behind it is we are trying to encourage people to think about the language they use, especially in the workplace,’ the organisation’s CEO Lisa Annese said.
