A world-first new oral drug is being trialed to treat a previously untreatable form of cholesterol, and has been hailed as a game-changer.
Director of Monash University’s Victorian Heart Institute, Dr Stephen Nicholls, has led the trials and is excited by the outcomes.
“We think it’s a really great find for patients,” Dr Nicholls told 3AW Breakfast.
