‘Worst’ magpie season in 25 years predicted … and the birds aren’t to blame!

There are predictions this spring could be the worst magpie swooping season in 25 years.

Why? Because of bureaucrats.

Animal rescuer Nigel Williamson told Neil Mitchell in the past he only needed one permit, covering the whole state, to capture and relocate swooping birds.

He now needs a permit for every bird.

Yes, every bird.

He said it took two weeks to process, slowing the system right down.

Mr Williamson also revealed a fail-safe way to avoid being attacked by Magpies.

“Look at it and point at it,” he said.
