‘Worst nightmare’: Teen falls off roof of moving car on the Mornington Peninsula

A teenager has been hospitalised after falling from the roof of a moving car on the Mornington Peninsula on Sunday night.

Police say five 18-year-old males were inside a Holden Cruze in St Andrews, with another two on top of the vehicle.

The car was in a car park when one of the men slid from the roof, hitting the road.

The alleged driver, an 18-year-old Glen Waverley man, has since been charged.

He was bailed to appear before Dromana Magistrates’ Court on 22 January 2026.
