‘You can never be a stress carrier’: Leigh Matthews on the psychology of coaching
The way coaches are presenting themselves on the interchange bench or in the coaches box has been a major topic of conversation in the AFL world.
Leigh Matthews made it clear on 3AW that coaches can never be a “stress carrier”.
“If you choose to go down to the interchange bench, you don’t want to be a madman down there,” Matthews said on 3AW Wide World of Sports.
