You won’t believe where a car stolen in Glen Iris was found
A Mercedes stolen from a home in Melbourne’s east more than 10 months ago has been found in a rather unexpected location.
Kristina told Tony Jones her near-new 2016 Mercedes-Benz C200 Coupe (the same as her replacement car, above) was stolen from her Glen Iris home in February this year.
Where it turned up was the last place she expected.
“Just outside of Dubai in a workshop, still with the Victorian number plates on it,” Kristina told 3AW Mornings.
She said an Australian man saw the car and snapped a photo, sending it to Car Advice journalist Paul Maric, who then contacted authorities.

Victoria Police arrested and interviewed one man here before releasing him pending further inquiries.
Three other people have been arrested in Dubai.
