A young Australian boy has become an internet sensation after he came down with the hiccups while trying to sing the national anthem.

Ethan Hall, 7, was performing at the start of a baseball game in Adelaide on Saturday.

Then this happened.

The footage has gone viral, with Ethan’s effort even attracting the interest of TV giant Ellen DeGeneres in America.

‘My wife’s waiting on a phone call from their producers at the moment,’ Ethan’s dad Tim told Neil Mitchell.

‘It’s gone around the world.’

Mr Hall said his son had taken it all in his stride.
