Young children could have access to the pill without their parents knowledge
It’s feared 12 year olds could have access to the pill without the knowledge of their parents.
This comes under a new state government initiative.
Doctors will visit disadvantaged secondary schools, in a move the government says will improve access to healthcare.
But the plan has been criticised by both the opposition and the AMA.
The Shadow Education Minister says it could help children get around their parents when it comes to things like contraception.
