A man has been stabbed during a robbery in Melbourne’s west this morning.

A man, 20, was walking along Cavall Close in St Albans about 3am when he was approached by three men.

They demanded his mobile phone before stabbing him in the legs.

He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The offenders ran away and are still at large.

FIERY CAMPSITE

A man has fled a campsite near Cape Otway after being attacked with a shovel.

The Ferntree Gully man, 45, had set up camp off Holy Water Track in Glenaire on Saturday night when a man and woman turned up in a 4WD.

An argument broke out later that night, at which point the Ferntree Gully man was hit with a shovel.

He fled, crashing his car into an embankment.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police went to the camp site but the couple had fled, abandoning their camping gear.
