A young woman says she has applied for “thousands of jobs” without success after finishing university.

Candace Vella, 22, undertook a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Politics and in a letter to the Herald Sun, she says she simply can’t get a job.

She said she’s applied for jobs such as legal secretaries, public servant roles, law clerk roles but to no avail.

“The list is endless, I’ve just been going for anything,” she told Tom Elliott on 3AW Drive.

She currently works one day a week and said she would happily work in a low skilled job, she just wants to work.

“Obviously I’m young, I’ve gone to uni, there’s no reason why they can’t give me a chance and train me,” Candace said.
