Younger generation kicks the drink
Binge drinking is no longer “cool” among young people, according to a 10-year study.
The research, commissioned by Drink Wise, found rates of binge drinking had fallen from 52 per cent to 33 per cent in the past decade.
The fall has largely been attributed to a shift towards pursuing a healthy lifestyle.
One in five adults now don’t drink at all, compared with one in 10 in 2007.
