YOUR TOWN: 3AW Drive visits Mornington

It’s the picturesque peninsula suburb known for its market, iconic pier and as a popular choice for young families and those looking for a seachange.

This week, 3AW Drive visited Mornington for the weekly Your Town segment.

Program reporter Alyssa Allen was told there’s a bit of tension and competition between shopkeepers and market traders when the Wednesday market is on.

And the pier’s receiving a facelift for after a recent storm caused a big part of it to collapse. 

One resident believes a rock barrier would work better to protect the waves hitting the pier.
