Your Town: 3AW Drive visits Patterson Lakes

Fans of classic Aussie comedy Kath & Kim will be familiar with Patterson Lakes, where the show was filmed.

This week, 3AW Drive took Your Town to Patterson Lakes, a suburb whose boating culture can make you forget you’re not in Queensland. 

It’s a place where the median house price can fluctuate almost $400,000 in a month.

Local resident Carol Flanagan, who is Commodore of the Carrum Sailing and Motorboat Club, said there’s a real sense of community.

‘There’s amazing support networks. It’s a neighbourhood,’ she said.

And she said not everyone is a ‘cashed-up bogan’.
