YOUR TOWN: 3AW Drive visits Preston

This week, 3AW Drive visited Preston as part of the Your Town segment.

Preston’s median house prices are pushing $1 million, at around $986,000.

The inner northern suburb is also home to the popular Preston Market.

A controversial proposal for a radical redevelopment of the market including an apartment complex has been a source of contention for residents in the inner north.

Anthony Milanovic works at Slavonija Deli in the market told Tom Elliott they had mixed feelings about it.

‘We are worried about it to an extent, (but) we’d like to see progress in the area,’ he said.
