YOUR TOWN: 3AW Drive visits The Basin

An angry resident of The Basin has branded the swarms of cyclists who ride in the area as ‘arrogant, selfish and inconsiderate.’

3AW Drive took a trip to the foothills of the Dandenongs to see what made the locals tick.

Resident Barbara Reid told Tom Elliott it was a great place to live, but had recently attracted plenty of interest from cyclists.

She said the small town had been overrun, so much so, she doesn’t go to her local cafe any more.

‘I just think they’re very arrogant, selfish and inconsiderate in a small town,’ Ms Reid said.
