Youths riot at Malmsbury Justice Centre

Heavily-armed police have stormed the Malsmbury Youth Justice Centre to bring an end to the latest riot.

Riot police stormed the facility after a group of offenders, armed with metal poles, locked themselves in a secure yard.

Six youths have been arrested and nobody was injured during the arrest.

The disturbance lasted around four hours.

The incident comes just days after a riot at the Parkville youth detention centre, and months after other riots damaged facilities at both centres.
