The husband of a woman with a brain tumour who made a last-minute trip to Adelaide for an urgent medical scan, because she couldn’t get one in Victoria, says he still hasn’t heard from the state government, despite Victoria’s health minister blaming a “miscommunication” for the issue.

Mary-Anne Thomas also said arrangements had been made to provide Kylie Hennessy with access to another machine at the Florey Institute in Melbourne.

But that’s news to her and husband Jason.

“The first we heard about it was in the media,” Jason told Neil Mitchell.

“We have had absolutely zero contact with government.”

Press PLAY below to hear Jason voice his frustration

“The reason Kylie and I went to the media, is to shine a spotlight on our underfunded health system,” he said.
