Ziebell hopes the North squad gives their coaches selection headaches
North’s new captain is hoping his coaches have the right kind of headaches this year.
Jack Ziebell told Sports Today the Kangaroos are fit and firing this pre-season, and competition for spots in the starting line-up is heating up.
’44 guys trying to fit into 22 for Round 1 becomes quite competitive,’ he said.
‘All the guy are putting their best foot forward.
‘Hopefully it gives the coaches a few headaches come Round 1.’
Ziebell said teams the game might get more exciting as clubs try to emulate the Bulldogs’ winning formula.
‘Ball movement will be a focus for most teams – especially the fast variety,’ he said.
‘Trying to get the ball out the back and score more quickly, which will make it more exciting for the fans this year.’
