Matthew Lloyd has revealed his “favourite” to get the Essendon head coaching job.

It comes amid the news club president Andrew Welsh has interim coach Dean Solomon as his preferred candidate for the full-time role.

The Bombers great also had an interesting perspective on Damien Hardwick’s criticism of the umpires from Friday night, after the Suns head coach escaped a sanction for his comments.

“I’m probably different to everyone else, and you’re not going to agree with me here,” Lloyd said on 3AW Drive.
