Sam McClure has had his right of reply after his heated exchange with reporter Alister Nicholson over the Tasmanian AFL team at a podcast studio during the week.

Nicholson appeared on the Footy and Friends podcast, while McClure was there for his Tradies podcast with Mitch Cleary.

“For me it’s just disappointing that the story has now become about two people in the media arguing,” McClure said on Sports Today.

“I’ll leave the cheerleaders and sycophants to talk among themselves to be honest.”
