3AW Football team react to Brisbane Lions breaking silence over off-season controversy

Brisbane Lions football boss Danny Daly has categorically denied an off-season trip to the US and the controversy which come out it has anything to do with the club’s 0-3 start to the season.

3AW’s Sam McClure reported on Friday that the trip has caused in internal rift within the player group.

Speaking after Daly’s press conference on Monday, Matthew Richardson said everything needed to be aligned at a footy club in order to taste success.

“Everyone needs to be in line to win a premiership,” he told 3AW Football.

“But in saying that, not everyone is going to be best mates (with each other).”
