Matthew Richardson says Dustin Martin, Jack Riewoldt and Dylan Grimes would all be suitable candidates to replace Trent Cotchin as Richmond captain.

Cotchin announced on Tuesday he would not be leading the Tigers next season.

He’ll remain as a player.

Speaking on 3AW, Richardson was asked for his thoughts on who should replace him.

“If Dustin Martin wanted to be captain, I think he’d be fantastic,” Richardson said.

He also went on to make cases for two other Tigers.
