Dustin Martin has taken personal leave.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick says he’s “unsure” whether the champion midfielder will play against GWS on Sunday.

Martin’s father died over the off-season and he’s also been recovering from a debilitating kidney injury at the end of last season.

Hardwick said on Thursday the “number one priority” was Martin’s health and well-being.
