It’s become one of football’s biggest clichés, but Collingwood champion Scott Pendlebury says his famous “basketball background” has to have played some part, however small, in getting him to 350 games.

He’ll crack the rare milestone this weekend.

“It’s funny, it’s almost become my name hasn’t it?” Pendlebury told 3AW when asked how he felt about constant mentioning of his elite junior basketball career.
