Concerning new text scam targeting Australians

A new text message scam is fleecing Australians out of their hard-earned money.
The scam is a reverse of the “Hi mum/dad” scam which has been circulating for months, with people are receiving messages purporting to be from their parents.
“Up in the left-hand corner it had ‘mum’,” Karen told Neil Mitchell.
“It was pretty authentic.”
