Tom Elliott’s ‘obvious suggestion’ to help fix the AFLW competition
Tom Elliott has given his idea which he thinks could help fix the women’s AFL competition.
It comes as the AFL Executive General Manager of Football Laura Kane appointed marketing specialist Emma Moore as the new General Manager of the AFLW.
The 3AW Mornings host went through some “sobering stats” on the competition and then gave his “obvious suggestion” which could help the AFLW thrive.

Associate Dean of Higher Education and Sport at Holmesglen Institute, Dr Sam Duncan, said one of the things the league needs to sort out is the timing of the season.
“It’s completely overshadowed by the AFL finals series,” Dr Duncan said.
He also agreed Tom Elliott’s idea would “generate a lot of interest”.
