Jon Anderson says the loser of Thursday night’s clash between St Kilda and Western Bulldogs won’t play finals this year.

Both sides are 2-4 heading into the crunch match, with the pressure set to increase even further on the loser.

“(The loser of Thursday night’s clash) doesn’t make the eight,” Anderson told 3AW Breakfast.

“I don’t trust either of those sides to go on a long winning sequence this year (to make the finals).”

“Both of these sides have deficiencies.”
