Leigh Matthews has spoken on 3AW on who West Coast would have to “headhunt” to replace Adam Simpson at the club, following his departure this week.

Matthews said Simpson’s end to his time at the Eagles had been “building up for a long time” and turned his attention to a former coach who has been out of the system for a few years.

“I think you would have to convince him, and offer him the job,” Matthews said.
