Jimmy Bartel has given his immediate reaction to the tribunal’s decision to uphold Jackson Archer’s three-game ban for rough conduct.

Archer was suspended for colliding with Western Bulldogs’ Luke Cleary, failing in his attempt to overturn the ban.

“I can’t repeat this enough, I don’t blame Luke Cleary and we all wish him well,” Bartel said on Wide World of Sports.

“But there are accidents in our game … the way the tribunal describes some actions and requests from players is just pure madness.”
