The Hawks dominated periods of the Easter Monday clash, but weren’t able to close out the match as Geelong snuck home by seven points.

Defender Karl Amon was left to lament what might have been as skill errors hurt his side throughout the match.

“We just let ourselves down by skill execution,” he told 3AW Football after the match.

“Geelong won some critical contests which put them ahead.”
