Jeremy Howe ‘so happy’ for Nick Daicos after being named Collingwood captain

Jeremy Howe has lauded Nick Daicos’ leadership traits as he prepares to captain Collingwood for the first time.

Darcy Moore will miss the ANZAC Day blockbuster as a result of vertigo relating to an inner ear issue, clearing the way for Nick Daicos to become the club’s youngest skipper in 57 years.

Teammate Jeremy Howe told Wide World of Sports the 22-year-old has all the attributes to be a successful leader at the club.

“It’s an amazing opportunity for Nick (Daicos),” he said.

“What he contributes not only on the field but with the entire playing group is an amazing trait that he has, and I’m so happy for him.”
