Tasmania AFL team in ‘precarious’ position after frank Brendon Gale comments

The future of Tasmania’s AFL team remains on a knife’s edge as state parliament prepares to vote on the stadium which holds the keys to its future.

The Tassie government will soon vote on a bill fo the roofed Macquarie Point stadium, with a decision expected by July.

Tasmania Devils CEO Brendon Gale admitted to media on Friday that he’ll be out of a job if the stadium doesn’t pass through parliament, placing its future in a “precarious” position according to 3AW Football’s Sam McClure.

“(Brendon Gale) painted a pretty clear picture of how precariously positioned the Tasmania team and the stadium is,” McClure told Jacqui Felgate.
