Brisbane Lions co-captain Harris Andrews believes his side fought back from some disappointing results for coach Chris Fagan as the reigning premiers knocked off Hawthorn by 33 points at the MCG.

Fagan, who coached his 200th game, refused to be the focal point even despite the encouragement of his players.

“I tried to get him, as soon as I grabbed his leg, he went stiff!” Andrews said on 3AW Football.

“He’s a great football coach, but he’s just a great person.”
