Hawthorn’s Lloyd Meek has avoided suspension for his big hit on Magpie Patrick Lipinski, which left him concussed and will miss the massive King’s birthday clash against the Demons.

On 3AW Football, Matthew Richardson has praised the MRO for making a “common sense” decision and not suspending the Hawks ruckman for a accidental football act.

“If he was suspended for that there was serious trouble for our game,” Richardson said on 3AW Football.
